The clutch is one of the key components of a semi-automatic strapping machine. What types of clutches are commonly used in semi-automatic strapping machines, and what are their respective functions? The following is an introduction to the functions of clutches in semi-automatic strapping machines from China Equipment Network:

  1. Driving Shaft Brake Clutch
This clutch is connected to the motor via a belt. When the strapping micro switch or the tape-feeding switch is triggered, the clutch engages the belt gear connected to the machine’s motor. The rotation of the belt drives the driving shaft of the strapping machine through the clutch. The driving shaft mainly carries the top knife, heating head, and the brake cam of the tape sealing platform. The rotation of the cam completes the cycle of pushing the tape, cutting the tape, and sealing the tape.

  2. Tape Feeding and Retracting System Brake Clutch
Similar to the driving shaft brake clutch in an automatic strapping machine, this clutch is indirectly connected to the motor via a belt. When feeding or retracting the tape, the clutch remains engaged, allowing the completion of the tape feeding and retracting operations.
